If you are interested in events you may want to check out IFEA, which stands for Internal Festivals and Events Association. IFEA is the main supporting association for events around the world. Their target market is event planners that plan events, which support their surroundings.
IFEA’s main headquarters are located in Boise, Idaho. If you are not in Idaho no worries, you can get connected with them on their website or visit one of their many conferences around the world. To get all the benefits from IFEA you must purchase your membership. The reason I like IFEA so much is its networking opportunities. I got connected with the association during my undergrad. I personally don’t have a membership because the cost is a little high for me since I am still a student. Although I don’t have a membership I am signed up for their free e-mail updates! I highly recommend that you do this. With the e-mail alerts you will get weekly updates on industry trends and tips to help your event run smoothly.

So if you don’t have a lot of expendable cash to put into an event for your community IFEA can help you find a sponsor. Not only does a sponsor provide money, they could end up being a networking opportunity.
